Help with childcare costs
Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to get help paying for childcare.
All 3 and 4 year olds in Staffordshire are entitled to up to 15 hours per week of free childcare (term times only) from the term a child's 3rd birthday. You do not have to attend the childcare setting full-time or even part-time to qualify for this. You can simply attend the setting for your free places, providing the setting has places available. We are running a pilot scheme in the county to provide up to 15 hours a week worth of funded childcare/early education during term time. Only children meeting the criteria are eligible. More about the criteria for free childcare for 2 year olds|.
You may be eligable to claim for tax credits. The main tax credits for families are Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit, 9 out of 10 families with children are entitled to receive tax credits.
