Employers are increasingly aware of the organisational benefits of helping staff achieve a balance between the work demands they face and their lives outside of work. With some sectors of the economy seeing rising skills shortages coupled with escalating recruitment costs, having a settled workforce can provide organisations with an important competitive advantage.
There are many factors that contribute towards achieving work-life balance for parents and carers; having peace of mind from knowing that their children are in receipt of high quality childcare is one of the primary considerations.

Our Employer Development Officer works with employers to develop tailored solutions to the childcare needs of their workforce. The support available includes advice and guidance on choosing appropriate childcare, details of childcare provision close to home or work (or even along the journey to work), and details of financial assistance with childcare costs that parents may be eligible for.
To find out about the support available contact the Children's Information Service on 0845 650 9876 or contact Clare Butters - Employer Development Officer on 0800 626424 or clare.butters@staffordshire.gov.uk
