Staffordshire's Graduate Grants

The recent Tickell Report| recognises the importance of a highly qualified, graduate led workforce within the Early Years field. Staffordshire's Graduate Grants are intended to support the government's objective to have a graduate leader in Children's Centres by 2010 and in every private, voluntary and independent (PVI) full day-care setting by 2015.

Settings with staff training as graduates or an established Graduate Leader working towards the Early Years Professional (EYP) status, or qualified as an EYP, may apply for the funding to support the cost of continuing professional development or salary enhancement to assist in staff retention.
