Childminding networks
A childminding network is a formal group of registered childminders who are recruited, assessed and regularly monitored by an employed Co-ordinator. Belonging to a childminding network can give many benefits to both childminders and parents.
All registered childminders have met the requirements set by Ofsted, the regulatory body. In addition to this, childminders in a childminding network have met the standards of the NCMA Quality Childminding Charter.
Support

From 1 April 2010, Ofsted has made a change to After School Provision.
If you wish to care for school age children in the 4-5 year age group alongside under 3s you must apply to Ofsted for an alteration to your certificate.
This will enable you to class the 4-5 year old in full-time education as part of the older age group and not as part of your Early Years under 3s and Pre-school.
All you need to do is ring Ofsted and ask for the necessary statement to be added to your certificate and they will send you an amended copy by return. This will be a permanent addition to your registration and will not need to be applied for again.
Please do it today. Call Ofsted on 0300 123 1231 or visit Ofsted's website|* for further information.
