Our work involves

Support for new and existing, maintained and non-maintained settings, in the development of all types of childcare provision including extended school's projects in line with the Childcare Sufficiency survey.

Work with the Community and Learning Partnerships in each district to meet the Government agenda for extended childcare.

Signpost to relevant support agencies to enable the setting up of new provision.

Guide market research projects and consultations with the local community.

Give advice on the management structures available to operate childcare.

Advise on the availability and distribution of Government-led and funding initiatives.

Support settings with the preparation of proposals, business plans and cash flow forecasts to enable application for funding.

Conduct post-funding financial monitoring and viability exercises.

Lead on Play for the County and co-ordinate the development of Staffordshire's County wide Play Strategy.

Support Voluntary Managed Committees who provide childcare in the County through visits and regular health checks.

Support the development and sustainability of Toy Libraries throughout the County.
