Quality Assurance

Funding and support has been offered to all settings, including childminders  until the end of March 2008 who wished  to embark on a Quality Assurance scheme.  Funding has also been available to settings for re-accreditation.

Quality Assurance schemes include:

  • Quality Counts - National Day Nurseries Association (Full Day Care)
  • Aiming for QualityPre-School Learning Alliance (Pre-Schools)
  • Aiming Higher4 Children, (Out of School Care)
  • Children Come FirstNCMA (Childminding Networks)
  • Quality First - NCMA (for individual childminder)

From April 2008, funding has stopped for mentor support.  We have however, some packs still available which include funding for the final assessment. Early Years cannot supply the mentor support and it would be up to the setting to work through the pack which takes approx 18 months to complete.

For further information contact: June Colley Tel 07966 328751 or Denise on 01785 278205.

We will in future be working towards Quality Improvement Principles for settings. This is an on going process and further information will be available soon.  Please click the link below for find out more
