New Head of Service appointed

I have worked in most areas of the catering industry for many, many years; the last eighteen have been spent in the school meals sector in Cheshire. Since joining school meals my career has covered all areas the business affords and developed into an area management position some eight years ago.

I have experience in the implementation of Fair Funding/Delegation of Budgets, past and present healthy eating initiatives including the Jamie Oliver 'Feed me Better' campaign, the development of services across the board including all financial aspects involved in the business and the implementation of job evaluation, which is at the forefront of activities and finances at this present time for Staffordshire.

I took up the post of Head of Catering Services on 1^st April 2008 in the knowledge that the school meals service in Staffordshire was one to be applauded for its current position, given the demands and challenges school meals has had to face over the last couple of years.

Acutely aware there are further exciting challenges ahead, I relish the opportunity to build on existing strengths and relationships; whilst further developing the services to take us into the future both confidently and successfully for all concerned.
