Adult and Community Learning Service
Casual Tutors
Rate of pay £22.05 per teaching hour for Skills for Life Tutors.
The Adult and Community Learning Service is currently developing Literacy and Numeracy provision across the county. The range of provision includes workshops, accredited and unaccredited courses at all levels from pre-entry to Level 2. The programmes vary in length according to learner needs and take place in local community venues in all 8 districts of Staffordshire.
The Service is currently looking for part-time literacy and numeracy tutors. Successful applicants will be registered on our Tutor database and will be offered teaching commitments as and when they arise.
These tutors require a level 5 qualification in Literacy or Numeracy. Tutors must also be prepared to participate in staff development and will receive guidance and support to improve their practice, where necessary. These posts require a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) declaration.
For informal enquiries about the
Tutor role, please contact Jennie Mechti (Curriculum Manager for Skills for Life) on 07966 328852 or Dennis Richards (Programme Leader for Literacy) on 07875 767 273.
