ICT Computer Courses
Staffordshire Adult and Community Learning Service and Staffordshire Library and Information Service offer computer classes for the complete beginner. Classes are also held in some community venues.
The absolute beginners' courses are called Online Basics and Job Seekers Online Basics. These are free if you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance, and there is a £10 enrolment fee for all other learners. The courses normally last five weeks (10 hours) and include guidance on the basic use of a computer, internet and e-mail.
There are other courses which are suitable for those with some basic knowledge of using a computer. They are also 5 weeks (10 hours) long and cost £35, £17.50 if you are in receipt of an income related benefit, or free if you receive Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance.
These courses are;

MORE IT Internet, including using the internet interactively, emailing with attachments, Shopping online.

MORE IT Office including using office software, word processing, spreadsheets, posters and presentations.

Digital Photo Management including, transferring photos to a computer, managing your photos on the computer, backing up, sharing and enhancing photos.
Some other computer courses may also be available.
