Employability Skills 

Are you 19+ and unemployed and want to gain new skills?

Then this course is for you!

The Employability Skills course runs over 14 hours in a community venue in your area.  The course and qualification are free and are run by friendly, approachable tutors who will support your learning and provide information and advice to help you to reach your learning and employment goals.

What will you do on the course?

  • Improve your job searching techniques
  • Create and/or update your CV and a covering letter
  • Get hints and tips on how to complete application forms
  • Brush up on your communication and interview skills
  • Identify your strengths and transferable skills
  • Create an action plan to achieve your goals
  • Develop your team work skills and confidence
  • Gain a level 1 Qualification in Personal Development

 

NOCN Level 1 Developing your Personal Development Skills

The course runs over 12 hours in a community venue in your area.  You will reflect on your current life situation and your career options and produce an action plan to support your development.  You will identify the skills you have and areas for development.  You will participate in group activities and make positive choices to support your development further.
