Supporting learning the community
Outreach work
Adult and Family Learning Outreach Workers develop learning opportunities in the heart of local communities. They contact individuals, groups and families who are least likely to get involved in any form of learning. They plan imaginative ways to encourage and help them to participate in learning activities that are interesting and meaningful to them. They also provide information, advice and support to enable learners to progress onto other learning opportunities, volunteering or employment.
In order that learning is planned and targeted to best meet local needs Adult and Family Learning Outreach Workers liaise with their local Community and Learning Partnerships.
