Grants for Community Learning
A New funding opportunity for all learning Providers:
Staffordshire Community Learning Trust Community Responsiveness Fund
The Aims and objectives of Staffordshire Community Learning Trust
Staffordshire Community Learning Trust is a Council led partnership with the aim of developing locally owned community networks that empower people in local neighbourhoods, wards and parishes to work collaboratively with learning providers and other partners to agree their own community learning priorities, strategies and partnership models.
The objectives of the Trust are:
-
To lead on the planning of local community learning provision for Staffordshire residents to support access and progression for people who are disadvantaged and who are furthest from learning;
-
To maximise the impact of community learning on the social and economic well being of Staffordshire individuals, families and communities;
-
To secure additional revenue for Staffordshire residents that is over and above the public funding available by promoting innovative approaches to match funding, pooling resources and maximising fee income from people who can afford to pay in order to reach those who cannot.
The Community Responsiveness Fund
The Community Responsiveness Fund is met by Staffordshire County Council's Adult and Community Learning Service and will be adminsitered by the Trust under the Council's governance arrangements. Funding is available to all types of learning providers (public, private, colleges, third sector) on a contribution basis, to deliver local needs based community learning projects to Staffordshire residents. To support your local needs analysis the Trust has commissioned a county wide questionnaire targeting individual learners and community groups and has sought responses on current learning patterns, barriers to learning, learning needs etc. The evaluation report can be found at www.communitylearningtrust.org.uk/|.
