  • Complete all sections of the application form
  • Provide any additional information requested - foundation and voluntary aided schools
  • Return your form to your primary school or to the School Admissions Team.

  • Pupils living within the catchment area of the school
  • Pupils with siblings in attendance at the school

Allocation of places

  • All 3 preferences are assessed equally

  • Decisions are made for each preference
  • If a place can be offered at more than one preference then the highest rank school will be offered

Offer of a school place

  • 2nd March 2009 _ a single offer of a school place is made
  • If you are happy with the decision no further action is needed
  • If you are not happy with the decision you have the right to appeal against the decision
  • If you are refused a place at your preferred school your child's name will be placed on the waiting list

Waiting Lists

  • Names are placed on the waiting list in accordance with the admission criteria
  • A child's position on the waiting list is not fixed
  • Community school waiting lists are held until the end of the 1st week of the new academic year
  • If you have lodged an appeal your name will still be placed on the waiting list for community schools
