National Tackling Drugs Week 2008
From 19-23rd May there were events held throughout Staffordshire to promote the services of the Staffordshire County Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) and partner agencies, including Staffordshire Youth Offending Service.
The culmination of National Tackling Drugs week was an event in Stafford's Market Square on Friday 23rd May.
The event in Stafford promoting services included agencies such as:
- Staffordshire Youth Offending Service
- Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service
- Staffordshire Police
- Staffordshire Probation Service
- Addiction Dependancy Solutions
- Addaction
- Barnardos SMART Parent Carer Support Service
- Crime Reduction Initiatives, T3
Representing the Staffordshire Youth Offending Service was Jo Gore, Substance Misuse Co-ordinator. On the day there was also a manned Fire Engine, a Police Caravan, Local MP David Kidney, Assistant Chief Constable Douglas Paxton, The Mayor of Stafford and 'Hippo' the Mascot of the Premiership team Stoke City.
