Located in the heart of the county town, with a private walled garden, the Register Office is a splendid Jacobean 17th century building that used to house the town's MP and Chief Constable.
 The 33-seat Marriage Room is oak-panelled, with rich red carpet, gold-fabric seats, with gold and crimson swag and tail drapes. This location boasts a private, furnished waiting room for the bride and her retinue.
