Civil Partnerships Abroad

 

Depending upon the circumstances, it is advisable to contact Registration Services about forming a civil partnership abroad before making any firm arrangements. You should also contact the Embassy or High Commission of the country in which you want to form your civil partnership.

It is possible that you will be asked to provide a certificate of no impediment, which is a document required by some countries to enable a non-national to forma civil partnership in their country. Under certain circumstances these can be provided by your local register office.
