Ethnic Communities

We can learn a great deal from being involved in the communities we live and work.  By having a better understanding of cultural differences, the County Council can ensure it provides an effective and efficient service to all sections of the community.  It can recruit from the widest talents available, and harness the creativity and innovation of all its employees, demonstrating a tangible commitment to equality of opportunity.  A greater awareness of different cultures helps us all to continue to treat each other with respect and fairness.
