ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY  May 2006

Community Services recognises that we are able to impact upon the environment, through our own activities, products and services and our influence over others. 

We are committed to

· implementing and maintaining a documented Environmental Management System.    

· continuing to improve our environmental performance

· preventing the production of pollution and establishing emergency plans to prevent and mitigate the effects of environmental accidents

· complying to applicable environmental legislation and other requirements

· setting and reviewing our environmental objectives and targets

· making this environmental policy available to the public including everyone working for or on behalf of  Community Services

· encouraging greater awareness of environmental issues to our employees and contractors and suppliers

· reporting on our significant environmental aspects and environmental performance to the public.

Note at present this environmental policy has not been implemented throughout the whole of Registration Service, which forms part of Community Services.
