Violent Crime Action Plan 2008||| - This Plan sets out a range of actions to drive forward to reduce priority crime types, including gun and gang-related crime; knife crime; and sexual and domestic violence. It explores good practice that has been developed in these areas, and sets out how to build upon this in moving forward.
National Community Safety Plan 2008 - 11||| - a shared endeavour to deliver safer communities, recognising that community safety cannot be delivered successfully by the police on their own but must involve broadly based partnerships at both local and national level.
Section 17: A guide for Parish and Town Councils - Section 17 of the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 places ownership and responsibility for crime reduction beyond the police and on to a range of agencies, and puts crime and disorder at the heart of decision-making.
