Why should you need Staffordshire Trading Standards?

In today's highly competitive market it is becoming increasingly important to have an edge over your competitors. Any feature that can be turned to your advantage must be worked to the full.

Staffordshire Trading Standards is designated a UK approved body by the National Weights and Measures Laboratory, able to undertake the testing and approval of various categories of equipment. 

What you'll get from us

All equipment tested by us is issued with a certificate detailing the test procedure, the tolerances measured against and the result.

  • Weights up to 30kg (OIML Class M1)
  • Length up to 10m (0.6mm + 0.4mm per metre)
  • Volume up to 20 litres (0.01ml per 5 litres)
  • Weighing Machines up to 20kg (Class II) up to 60,000kg (Class III and IV)

The officers in our Stafford based laboratory have extensive experience in the testing of a surprisingly wide range of equipment. If it needs to be calibrated or is used to weigh or measure, then we can very probably test it, with traceability to national standards or to tolerances agreed with the customer.
