Performing Animals Registration
Registration summary
If you exhibit, use or train performing animals, you must be registered with your home authority. So if your business is located in Staffordshire then you would apply to us for your licence.
Eligibility criteria
Licenses will not be issued to anyone convicted of an offence against this Act, or against the Protection of Animals Act 1911, as amended by any subsequent enactment, the court before which he is convicted may in addition to or in lieu of imposing any other penalty -

If such person is registered under this Act order that his name be removed from the register.

Order that such person shall either permanently or for such time as may be specified in the order be disqualified for being registered under this Act.

Application evaluation process
Once your application has been received, an animal health officer will contact you to make arrangements to carry out an inspection of your premises.
Will tacit consent apply?
No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from us within a reasonable time period then please contact us on 01785 277875.
