Animal Health and Welfare Complaints
Staffordshire County Council's Animal Health Team is dealing with complaints related to health or welfare of farm animals on farms, livestock markets, abattoirs and in transit.
In many cases consumer complaints can be resolved without having to involve the individual or business concerned. If a complaint appears to be justified we may need to investigate, which means getting in direct contact with the farmer or business involved in order to resolve the issue.
If you witness welfare problems or have any concerns related to health or welfare of livestock, including farm animals kept as pets - please get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss:
Telephone: 01785 277875
Our office is opened from Monday to Thursday. from 8:30 until 17:00, and Fridays 08:30 - 16:30.
If you wish to report an issue outside of office opening hours please call our pager number 08448222888 and quote number: 839677.
