Lymestone Brewery is a family run micro brewery based in Stone, Staffordshire. It commenced brewing in 2008 with Ian (known to everyone as Brad) as the owner/brewer.
In the brewing industry for over 20 years, Brad has a wealth of knowledge and is putting it to good use brewing an ever increasing range of high quality award winning ales.
The five permanent ales, Stone Cutter, Stone Faced, Foundation Stone, Ein Stein and Stone the Crows are supplemented by at least one seasonal beer each month, all of which are available for direct delivery within a 50 mile radius of Stone.
Working with national wholesalers means their beers also appear the length and breadth of the UK mainland.
Brad's wife Viv works for the brewery - based in the office she is responsible for sales and general office management and is ably supported by Lol, the family Spaniel! Two full time members of staff are employed by the brewery and family members and friends lend a hand as and when required.
The brewery has a ten barrel brew plant whihc produces approximately 40 nine gallon casks on each production run; brewing takes place up to six times per week. The brewery only uses the finest ingredients - Water, Malt, Hops and Yeast with the only additional ingredient (the honey in Stone Brood) coming from our own bee hives kept on the roof!
Despite the current economic climate Lymestone Brewery is continuing to grow year on year with production and sales up over 100% in year two and a further 50% in year three.
With Stone in the title of all the beers, the brewery is proud to be producing Stone Brewed Ales!
