Information We Require
The following includes information that is often mandatory for most County Council tenders and must be completed or your tender may be invalidated.
PQQ stands for Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. For large contracts a questionnaire assessing your capabilities for the contract you have expressed an interest in is to be completed. If short listed you will then receive the relevant tender documents.
Only those suppliers that meet the required criteria will be requested to tender.
Further information on PQQ documents and procedures can be located here.
Financial Statements may be required as part of your tender submission where there may be a risk to the County Council.
The completion of an Equal Opportunities questionnaire, together with a copy of your organisations Equal Opportunities Policy may also be required.
An Environmental questionnaire asks about good environmental practice and you should submit a copy of your environmental policy for evaluation.
Even where not specifically mentioned in the tender, you are encouraged to specify environmentally sustainable products, the promotion of sustainable resources and good manufacturing practice.
Staffordshire Procurement have published a Green Purchasing Guide which is available as a download.
The County Council require confirmation that you possess a minimum of £5m Public Liability Insurance, £10m Employers Liability Insurance and for appropriate contracts at least £2m Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Under the Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (CRB) act, where any member of your staff would come into
regular contact with children or vulnerable people e.g. the aged, as a result of fulfilling the contract they must be vetted and approved by the Criminal Records Bureau and provide suitable evidence.
Confirmation will be requested within the tender of your Health and Safety Policies.
The requirements shown here are common to the majority of tenders although each individual tender may contain 'Special Conditions' relating to the detailed requirement.
An example of a typical tender pack used for the majority of tenders is available for illustrative purposes only and is subject to change for individual tenders.
