Property Consultancy
(Asset Management & Planning Division - Property Consultancy)
The Property Consultancy Division provides a fully comprehensive asset management and development service to the County Council and partners.
What service do we provide?
The procurement activities in the Property Consultancy Division are mainly centred around building construction and management.
The Property Consultancy Division is made up of technical and professional staff representing all the disciplines necessary to design, manage and deliver capital and revenue construction projects and to address the specialist areas of property risk management, energy management and access auditing.
What do we buy?
The majority of building works procurement activity for the County Council is carried out through the Property Consultancy Division.
How do we buy?
The goods and services used by the Council are paid for with public money and so rules are in place to ensure a high level of transparency in all stages of the procurement process. Broadly speaking the rules fall into five groups:
- European Procurement Directives
- UK legislation
- Financial Regulations of the Council
- Procurement Policy and Strategy and Contract Standing Orders
- Policy decisions of the Council
What will be the next step in selling to the County Council?
Contractors who wish to tender for building work must be on our approved list. This involves satisfying the pre-qualification criteria of Constructionline and CHAS (for Health and Safety), and then signing up to our policies.
