The many thousands of telephone extensions around the county are connected to the corporate voice network. As well as allowing direct dialling to every extension on the network, incoming calls can be transferred to any extension on the network, thus improving the service to the public. Outgoing calls routed to achieve the most favourable cost.

This is a time of great change and the technological direction of Staffordshire will therefore not remain static. We aim to support better services to our customers, more efficiently, provided by more partners but with fewer barriers to the public. This will continue to require pro-active as well as reactive management from an ICT perspective and flexibility is therefore key.
How do we Procure?
All goods and services procured by the Council are paid for with public money and rules are in place to ensure a high level of transparency in all stages of the procurement process. Broadly speaking the rules fall into five groups:
-
European Procurement Directives
-
UK legislation
-
Financial Regulations of the Council
-
Procurement Policy and Strategy and Contract Standing Orders
-
Policy decisions of the Council
