Staffordshire County Council is a key partner in regeneration and funding programme partnerships and has been successful in securing funding for a wide range of projects and initiatives. Recent examples include:

The County Council also currently manages a number of external funding streams that support the economic agenda including:

Staffordshire Business Support Fund - This was set up last November with the county council working together with the Black Country Reinvestment Society (BCRS) with a fund of £1 million providing loans to small businesses of £10,000 to £50,000, repayable over a four year period. Companies had to be based in Staffordshire, employ less than 50 employees, and have been turned down by the conventional banks. Over £600,00 has already been allocated benefiting 22 small businesses. Due to the success of the scheme, the county council is contributing a further £0.5 million matched by European funding which will increase the funds resources by £1 million.
