Economic Regeneration Business Unit

Welcome to Staffordshire County Councils Economic Regeneration Business Unit web-pages.

The Unit works in partnership with the private sector and other organisations to promote economic growth and prosperity and manages the Council's farms estate.

A recent Audit Commission Inspection report rated the service 'Good with promising prospects for improvement' and was awarded 2 stars out of a possible 3 because the service has a clear vision and sense of purpose for Economic Regeneration work. It works well with partners and has a strong track record of physical regeneration projects. (For information about the inspection see Best Value Section).

The Council provides direct support in five main areas:- Physical Regeneration to create key employment sites; Tourism and Food & Drink Campaigns; External Funding; management of the Council's Farms Estate and Staffordshire Business Environment Network.
