Our Economic Development and Regeneration team are championing Staffordshire as one of the UK's premier investment locations bringing together a host of partners from the public and private sector to create prosperity and job creation. The service has recently been rated 'Good with promising prospects for improvement' by the Audit Commission for its clear vision, service and purpose.

It's all about creating an environment where the natural beauty of the countryside and the high quality of life attracts long term quality investment. We need investment and growth, but this must not be at the expense of the environment. This is the essence of sustainable development.      

• We preserve and enhance the County's economy through the stimulation of new investment, support to existing business and performance of specific regeneration projects.
• We provide managed workspace and land for industry.
• We work in close partnership with economic development agencies to help local businesses and support inward investment.
• We promote and develop the County's tourism industry through targeted marketing initiatives with the private and public sector.
• We seek to influence decisions by national and European institutions that affect Staffordshire's ability to attract resources required for economic development and infrastructure improvements.
