The Chairman of Staffordshire County Council's diary of events for May.

County Councillor Frank Lewis MBE was recently appointed Chairman of Staffordshire County Council. County Councillor Lewis, member for the Lichfield Rural West division, succeeds Erica Bayliss as Chairman. His diary of events for the remainder of the month of May is as follows:

May 17:  The Tenth Anniversary of the opening of the National Memorial Arboretum, Stakeholders Evening hosted by Charlie Bagot-Jewitt at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas.

May 18:  Citizenship: New citizens ceremony at the Town Hall, Burton hosted by Jane Dodd, Staffordshire County Council.

May 18:  Civic Reception: at Keele Hall, Keele for the new Mayor for Newcastle-under-Lyme, hosted by the Mayor Elect and Newcastle Borough Council.

May 21: The British Police Symphony Orchestra concert at the Gatehouse theatre, Stafford, hosted by the British Police.

May 21: Civic Reception: at the County Buildings, Stafford for the new Mayor for Stafford, hosted by the Mayor Elect and Stafford Borough Council. Procession begins at the Gatehouse Theatre, then to St Mary’s Church and the County Buildings.

May 22: The Mayor’s Civic Sunday Parade at St Editha’s Church, Tamworth hosted by the Mayor Elect and Tamworth Borough Council.

May 24: The Annual General Meeting of Keele University hosted by the Principal

May 25: Citizenship: New citizens ceremony at the registry office, Newcastle-under-Lyme, hosted by Jane Dodd, Staffordshire County Council.

May 26: The Lord Mayor’s Inaugural Dinner: at the Jubilee Hall, Town Hall, Stoke-on-Trent hosted by the Mayor Elect and the City of Stoke-on-Trent.

May 29: Re-dedication Service & Cadet Enrolment for St John’s Ambulance Service at St Mary’s Church, Stafford hosted by the Chairman
