Resurfacing of key road in Uttoxeter complete

• The A518 Town Meadows Way and its adjoining double roundabout has been resurfaced.

• Resurfacing was done overnight to minimise disruption.

• Kerbs, drains and other ironworks were repaired and all gullies were cleared to reduce flood risk.

New all-age special school could be built in Staffordshire

• A new all-age special school could be built in Staffordshire, helping more children and young people with SEND get the support they need closer to home.

• It is part of a proposed £28.6 million investment by Staffordshire County Council, which also includes a new primary Pupil Referral Unit in Stafford.

• Families and residents are now being asked to have their say on the special school plans.

Fairy tales meet football in summer library tour

• Family-friendly performances mixing football and fairy tales touring Staffordshire libraries

• Performances taking place between Monday 10 August and Wednesday 19 August

• Ticket prices are £3 for the first child, 50p for any siblings, and adults and children under 3 years old go free

40,000 potholes to be repaired across the county

• Staffordshire County Council aims to repair 40,000 potholes by the end of March 2027, supported by 14 new crews.

• The work is backed by an extra £15 million highways investment, including new technology and methods such as screeding and urban velocity patching.

• The programme will help residents see a real difference locally, with 4,655 defects already repaired in June.

Protecting residents from £23m of loss and harm

• Staffordshire County Council's Trading Standards have prevented more than £23 million in financial harm in the 2025/6 financial year

• £7.99 million was saved through action against scams and doorstep crime

• Results show that each £1 spent on the Trading Standards service saves £11 in consumer detriment

• Staffordshire Moorlands' Family Hub offering families array of services and support

• Services include midwifery appointments, early years sessions, school nurse clinics, SEND support and a weekly Youth Hub.

• Families of children with additional needs can attend specialist sessions every other Wednesday
