Reporting Highway Faults

You may report a fault online via the LocalView website Report It facility. The status of reports can be checked with the Highways Hotline.

The Highways Hotline can be contacted between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday on 0300 111 8020 (calls charged at local rates) and at any time by emailing highways@staffordshire.gov.uk.

Please note - some mobile calls may be re-routed to a partner service in another part of the country. Please don't hang up - your call will be dealt with. Alternatively call 01785 277452 (calls are charged at the normal rate.)

If you wish to report an emergency highway defect/fault outside the Highways Hotline opening hours, please click here for details.

Street Lights and Signs

Broken streetlights make the streets dark, causing problems and worries for most people. Broken road signs make the roads more dangerous. If you see a street light or road sign that's not working for any reason, get it fixed by reporting it to the Highways Hotline.

Roads and Pavements

Potholes on the road and damaged pavements can cause injury, particularly to children, cyclists and infirm people, and can cause damage to vehicles. To arrange for us to repair roads and pavements, report it to the Highways Hotline.

Traffic Lights Pedestrian

Crossings and traffic lights that don't work make the roads dangerous for everybody. Report it to the Highways Hotline and we'll make things better.

Blocked Drains on Roads

Blocked gullies on roads are a problem as rainwater causes flooding when it can't drain away. If you see this problem report it to the Highways Hotline.

Road Listing Availibility

Unfortunately road name listings may not be available for all areas of the county, especially where roads cross boundaries with other authorities. If the road you wish to report a fault on is not available, please contact the Highways Hotline directly on 0300 111 8020 (calls charged at local rates) or via email at highways@staffordshire.gov.uk.

Under the Data Proection Act 1998, the information that you release to us will only be used and retained for highways maintenance purposes.
